These cell phone photos are meant to capture a mere portion of the essence that is Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion, an annual music festival in Bristol, VA/TN that celebrates music (particularly americana, folk, rock, and country). I worked as a volunteer stagehand for the 6th Street stage on Friday, September 18, 2015 and attended as a festival-goer on Saturday. Pictured above is the M.S.G. Blues Trio sharing their jazzy soul music with a crowd at Machiavelli’s indoor stage.
Amythyst Kiah and Her Chest of Glass rock the Near Moore Stage (hey Gary and Carole! I see you two behind that soundboard.)
View from Dave Williams’ soundboard on the 6th Street Stage as he sets up the monitors.
Song lyrics from The Rolling Stones song “Dandelion:” “When you’re finished with your childlike prayers/well you know you should wear it.”
The Stray Birds‘ gear readied for their set (above), Charlie doing a sound check (below), and the band all singing and playing (far below)
